In 2013, James Howells, an IT worker from Wales, accidentally threw away a hard drive containing 7,500 Bitcoins. These Bitcoins are now worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Howells has since attempted to recover the hard drive from a landfill, even proposing to the local council to search the site, but without success.

It's incredible how one small mistake can have such massive financial consequences. I hope he eventually finds a way to retrieve it!
