Hello everyone!

I am Fer, Brazilian-born, living in Miami with my 10 y/o son.

I have been an artist for about 25 years, and most people know me for my heavy impasto oil paintings. However, I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist who is always exploring mediums and opportunities to innovate and grow in my creative path.

Hey All

Most people don’t know, but my formal education is in Marketing and Advertising. I started working very young and was very driven in my corporate career, but life had other plans. I married an Australian, and we moved to the USA for his work, so I dropped my career and went to art school in NYC.

That period was filled with exhibitions. I had two solo shows in Hoboken, NJ, and a few group shows in Manhattan.

Sometime around 2003, another opportunity came, and we moved to London. We traveled a lot, and I explored my artistic journey with much experimentation. I won awards and had exhibitions worldwide. Eventually, we broke up, and I moved back to Brazil around 2006.

During that period, I was lost and did a lot of soul-searching. I lived in a Buddhist temple for a few years (lived as a resident artist painting traditional Tibetan murals) and dedicated another few to a meditation school. I was brainwashed by a cult, but eventually, I realized it and left. I became a muralist painter to make a living, and after a while, I moved to the mountains to live in isolation.

Living in the mountains was great.
However, when I thought I had found peace, life played another trick on me. After a short relationship, I got pregnant. I took full responsibility and decided to move back to the city to be closer to my family for support. I went back to being a muralist painter to make a living. At one point, I was part of a TV show about furniture remakes.

In a turn of events, I met an American and moved back to the States. We lived in SC for a few years and I accomplished more as an artist in that period than most people I know.

I became a gallery co-owner. I was the first artist selected for the Mount Pleasant town hall art program, and I created a few projects I am really proud of. 

One of them was showcased in a two-story local museum.

Despite all of my achievements, I was in a bad place in my relationship. The guy turned out to be abusive and disrespectful on so many levels I can barely mention without feeling all the pain again. So I took my son and moved to PA to live with friends for a year as I got back on my feet. 

I started with NFTs in 2021 and was selling well, so I thought I had a path to make a living through my art again. I created the NFT painters movement, became a community leader, have been a speaker at NFTNYC for 3 years, and participated in several projects, including launching a blockchain for art.

A highlight I loved was being featured in the NFT Yearbook!

I have always enjoyed exploring, so I have tried most options in the NFT industry. You can find my art in ETH (L1 and L2), Tezos, and Solana. Recently, I have been enjoying the free-ish mints on Rodeo and Remx.
