Butterfly Dm means something different to me I learnt about it, in psychology, as a 15% - 85% rule What does it mean to you

Yess that’s what it also means 😅 The butterfly effect, in psychology, by mark Hansen (if I recall his name properly) states that; investing your all, into the first 15% of an activity, gets you 85% of the outcome you’re looking for Something like that, so it’s quite similar I guess

that sounds more like a power law than butterfly effect. the difference being intention, control, or defined outcome. would you invest that 15% knowing you fundamentally /cannot know/ the outcome? that's butterfly. if it's just a "work hard, early, and let compounding effects work for you" well that's just normal self-help stuff, but /not/ chaos theory.

Oh I get you now, my idea of butterfly effect is more about defined outcome and momentum/compounding power, while your idea of butterfly effect considers uncertainty, which is the hardest part How does a man invest confidently in uncertainty 🤔, that’s a lot of conviction and risk

now you're getting at the right questions. this is the premise for "Black Swan" and, broadly, "Anti-Fragile" by NNT.

those are books. they're about knowledge, investment, chaos, and system theory. read them to better understand how to invest in uncertainty.
