I like that WhatsApp clears the notification count badge when you open the app

What does this do to you ?

It mentally makes you feel you’re cleared, even when you still have tons of unread messages ?😅

Makes it feel more like a tool than an app that constantly wants me to open it for no reason

I never thought of it that way 

So for WhatsApp, the pop up numbers on the app just notifies you of your notifications, and once you open the app, it’s like an acknowledgement from you, so the pop up numbers are gone !! Wow

Why aren’t the rest this way though, could it be intentional ?🤔
