Has anyone ever used Apple HomePods successfully? Mine will usually play for one song if I battle to get it connected for 15 minutes first. I’ve had to me working consistently for a few weeks before they go back to mostly failing.

It’s netgear’s Orbi mesh setup, it cost me a lot more than a pansy router should have but I’m sure there’s still better options

I don’t really have any problems with all of my 8 HomePods—my router is the ASUS GT-AXE11000..

However, my mom is on a shitty router/modem combo—that some big brain decided to place in their Michigan basement—and she’s always complaining about the HomePods I gave her going berserk and never listening..

So I assume that the signal to the router has a lot to do with issues on those things

Haha, I don’t believe there is actually atmos support, and I don’t have an arrangement of 8 in one spot, it’s a few stereo pairs throughout the house with a couple extra:
• 2 in living room
• 2 at the foot of the bed + 2 at the head of the bed (for immersive ocean sounds/white noise while sleeping)
• 1 in the bathroom for shower time listening
• 1 in the kitchen

Real talk how is Atmos on more than one HomePod?

I had more than 8, until recently, gave my mom a few, now their house is up to 4

It’s honestly really great to have all of them playing the same source of audio and to walk through the house hearing it in sync, throughout 🥹

Dude 8??? I can’t get 3 to work together at all. I gave up on that and am happy when 2 of them work for 3 songs or more
