Conclusive failure is an illusion in the same way that conclusive knowledge is, at least in the context of scientific research. My point is that we need better examples of failure, which I’d argue includes separating decision quality from outcomes. I’d argue your logic rebuttal about vaccines speaks to a different, also true phenomenon about belief.
