Stated preference is very much about preference falsification! Most people like saying things that they think other people want to hear (or increases their status with said people). Virtue signaling, etc.

Agreed agreed. But I feel like much of the revealed side potentially has falsification written all over it in the age of crowd acceptance and all the incentives aligned there

Depends on how public it is. In the privacy your own home / device, way less.
