Better to try to be funny and not be than try not to be funny and be Anyway just thought πŸ”΄ bc I've been in the market for a new camera and have seen so many pictures of them that this body/frame sorta looked like one (surely not on purpose)

A Red would be nice, my bromie got one but I think he ended up having to sell it.. I’ve just been thinking that the Sony FX3 would be my target camera if I get one anytime soon, maybe I’ll wait for its successor to come out since I think the FX3 was like new in 2020

I hear that, expensive AF cameras seem to be an even split between totally worth it, garage baby, or overt disappointment. And it can be an expensive disappointment to learn from. I am in a similar boat looking at the Fuji X100F, which might be more like 2018 or 2019 vintage. The draw being a more tactile control panel on the back vs swipe only touch screen. Big TBD and also partially up to the eBay gods

Yeah; I’ve never actually bought an expensive camera in my life to this day as that’s a lesson I have a big fear of learning.. The insane body mounting ability of the FX3 got me drooling tho

Yeah the FX3 has that sorta transformery aspect to it. Lots of cool ass shit in that direction all across the camera spectrum. FX3 does stand out, and also that makes it that much bigger. Don't let the fear of a nice expensive tool/toy keep you from giving it a go though. Realistically any lesson learned from it probably won't be too too expensive. I was lucky to grow up on v old Canon film cameras, and then to be able to use my gadget-happy dad's cameras, so I played with some v nice ones. It was only ever nerve wracking when it was "if I break this I can't replace it/will be in huge trouble", and that came from it being someone else's.
