So for Christmas my wife got a pair of the brand of socks I normally wear as my daily drivers. Hilarity ensued. “This is what you wear everyday? They are so fitted and smooth! They’re cradling and supporting my feet! What the hell have I been wearing? Why were you letting me wear such crap socks? I can’t wear these anymore I’m going to turn into a sock snob. They fit soooo well in my boots!” I die laughing when she gets like this because she always makes fun of how particular I am and then eventually buys into my snobbery.

lol this sounds like me and my partner, i definitely have snobby/particular tastes and she generally mocks them, but eventually realizes the things i cherish are pretty solid
