any city driving imo. or highway driving. so most driving. 

and for sports cars i’ll choose paddle shifters anyway.

Just having to drive an automatic, without adaptive cruise in LA traffic, after the four hours of stop and go, my right leg felt like it wanted to fall off

Strongly agree, it’s the main reason why I’d never want to go back to stick.

The argument that stick is more fuel-efficient (which I still hear sometimes) is also harebrained these days.

It’s just cultural market inertia that we still have stick shift cars being produced.
