Think people are writing off Meta too early. Of course trying to define a new industry appears clunky at first, but it takes guts to go after a nonconsensus view once you're that large and public

I might agree, but then I also think about the potential that it’s entirely possible someone else comes out with something so viral or impressive that this competition you speak of becomes entirely irrelevant in a snap of the a gauntlet.

I’m kinda in the “Jobs standing in front of the IBM logo presenting his middle finger  behind himself” era of Facebook. Maybe I’m ahead of the curve.

Yeah not in love with their style either, and certainly closed metaverse + 45% royalties make me gag

But markets require respecting your competition no matter how you feel about them
