churning qDAU is always important and a sharp topic assuming you're being cheeky with the hope how would you like to see it? kill the bots, some other solution? or is social media becoming a "two player game"? conversation ratio 1 user maybe 1 other user 98 bots

maybe bots have an official tag in the system such that the apps have a system setting that allows for users to toggle the appearance of bots on the timeline, but that doesn’t stop the timeline with what little human users are on it from only chattering about the bots it’s just a main narrative and contextual hijacking of the timeline that many people are not here for i’m not alone in this

you're definitely not alone, i run a video call platform vibehut.. somewhat specifically to combat the anti-social nature of social media also agree labelling bots is a great step in the right direction and agree again on at least trying a toggle config to see how it feels.. move fast, break things yeah social media into social ai video game wasn't on the original menu -- the question has ramifications for most platforms, things need to be written down and tried until the dust settles again
