more (spam) anticipation than annoyances... before permissionless signups: - a round of "must have ENS" to join -- that's more $ friction than most spammers would go through - enable users to control who can reply to their casts - enable users to control who can cast to a channel - enable devs to access blocks lists

Gating based on POAPs and other onchain activity that requires “proof of personhood” is also a great idea!
