I've been thinking if Following is the right content consumption model for Farcaster. Maybe there are better models for discovering & curating Farcaster content? caveat (1): We know this wont scale forever, but in spirit of “do things early that’s don’t scale early on,” right now it works quite well. caveat (2) The experience is not perfect (yet), as we are unable to sync deleted casts from the current Merkle API (will be possible when Hubs launch).

caveat (3) We also made the call at Purple to not ask users to “login” yet to cast, like, reply, & recast on Purple until FC team provides a smooth oAuth experience (scheduled for March). (The current method requires users to copy their Farcaster private key into a wallet)

Will you be introducing the ability to read cast replies? Also, I’m not having a good experience with search. For example, if I type “Artifact” I get a bunch of irrelevant results on Purple so I’ve been relying on Searchcaster instead. Im really digging how new casts automatically load on the new live feed
