One of the things that makes the concept of forgiveness easier is self-awareness.
Especially as a believer, as you grow in your journey of pleasing God, you begin to realize just how flawed you truly are.
Good people are not those who think they are incapable of wrong; they are those who are very much aware of their own propensity for evil — and because of that, they find it easier to let go of the wrongs of others.
We forgive because we have first been forgiven.
