Samara Cohen, Chief Investment Officer of the Exchange and Index Investment Funds Department of the financial company BlackRock, said that in the foreseeable future her firm will not issue ETFs based on Solana (SOL) and other cryptocurrencies. The top manager reported that ETFs based on virtual currencies, with the exception of bitcoin and Ethereum, do not yet cause "appetite" among investors. That is why BlackRock specialists are not ready to overcome the technical difficulties associated with issuing cryptocurrency ETFs. Obviously, the company will decide to create additional derivatives only if their investment attractiveness is proved by research.
