gm✨ 1/9 Most know me as a landscape photographer. It’s how I entered the art world, found success in web3, and built my reputation. Photography has been fundamental to my artistic career, and it will always remain at the core. But there is more to my artistic journey...

/9 There’s another side, a side that many don’t know. Some of my closest friends, collaborators, and artists I’ve worked with at Transient Labs have seen it, but it’s time I share this part of my journey with all of you.

/9 Beyond photography, I spend a majority of my time immersed in the creative and dynamic coding space. My background is in aerospace engineering, so programming has always been part of my professional life. But over the years, it’s become something more: an artistic outlet.

/9 As a founder of Transient Labs, I constantly work closely with artists to bring their dynamic artwork visions to life. This experience has pulled me deeper into the creative coding realm, HTML-based dynamic art, generative art, and everything in between.

/9 Many of you may have seen my “Pursuit of Code” series; Lissajous patterns created from complex pendulum systems (Blackburn pendulums) and captured via long-exposure photography.

/9 But my curiosity drove me further. To better understand the chaotic beauty of these pendulums, I developed a computer modeling algorithm to predict their movements. What started as a tool to refine my physical setup evolved into something much more.

/9 The algorithm took on a life of its own. I spent weeks "perfecting" it by introducing imperfections to mimic real-world physics, and often find myself drawn to the outputs of the code even more than the photos. It became fine art in its own right.

/9 “Pursuit of Code” grew into a generative art project that captured my imagination. Each run of the script creates infinite possibilities, with every output featuring an animated state that simulates real-time pendulum mechanics, infinitely drawing and erasing itself.

/9 This project made me realize it’s time to embrace a truth: I will always be known as a photographer, and that will remain a core part of my artistic career. But I am also a creative coder. There, I said it. It’s time to fully explore the medium I spend most of my waking hours in, not just to help others bring their dreams to life, but to push forward my own artistic journey.
