Once the Federal Reserve begins cutting interest rates, it will do so quickly and consecutively until reaching a level that allows for both offensive and defensive moves—a point where no one can predict whether rates will rise or fall next. This ensures the Fed retains flexibility. It would never maintain an interest rate level that the whole world knows is unsustainable, giving everyone a high-probability opportunity to profit from its actions.
