I hadn’t used ETH mainnet in ages. I had to use it today to make a few transactions which reminded me of why L2s like base and L3s like DEGEN are important. No sane person is gonna pay 10s of dollars for a swap whose value is not even 100$.

biggest barrier to bringing people onchain no normal people are willing to pay to experience mainnet transactions. onboarding will happen on L2/L3s and cheaper chains like solana

yea definitely, but the problems with L2 and L3s still is I don't think there are a lot of reliable protocols for on ramping and off ramping due to which most people have to experience the pain of mainnet. I think solana is doing better on this side tho

100% agree. Good products and solutions for onramping and off ramping is still a major issue. Need much better products/solutions for L2/L3s on this front
