I've been trying this “wild” new experiment at work. When someone says “I’m so sorry…” I say “I forgive you, …” The reactions have been fascinating. I teach my 4 y/o this and yet we've somehow forgotten it at work. Its such a simple yet powerful way to build genuine trust 🤯

Just had a client apologize and I responded “I forgive you.” Saying “it’s ok” doesn’t acknowledge the wrong. But saying I forgive you acknowledges the wrong AND says “we’re still ok”. It’s powerful.
