Web3 can get serious products when it's prepared to bring in serious people to help develop them. 'Cryptonative' is seen as better than decades of experience in marketing, comms, biz development, sales, customer understanding etc. Went to a 'consumer crypto' event, didn't hear the word 'consumer' once. Bit despondent.

We are getting there and moving in the right direction but IMO is still somewhat niche and will require the technology to be a lot more invisible for more folks to get onboard. Still bullish on the future though :)

There are 2 things that make me point to yes 1.) people realize that everything shouldnโt be decentralized 2.) underlying infra for a lot of stuff is so much better Just need ideas now

If you are building on web3, I think you should talk with people who donโt know crypto and see how confused they look at you. Infrastructure-wise, itโs almost ready, but the UX is lagging behind and thereโs still a long way to go in terms of consumer education.

Permissionless gambling and stables have been born out of web3. That's a huge W - depending on perspective of person. But serious defi products or even gaming has a long way to go.
