You're taking platform risk except sign up, account management, all of the casts, likes, follows and ETH address verifications are permissionless and decentralized—right now.

I agree but we are still pinned to the success of FC. If it doesn’t fly we are doomed too 😢

Why?  

Your gtm shouldn't be 100% reliant on $0 CAC organic user acquisition from the Farcaster ecosystem.

Like if no one bought the first iPhones, all the apps would be doomed, no matter how good and valuable they were

Whats an example of a valuable app that was/is 100% reliant on the iPhone specifically v smartphones overall ?

Genuine question.

if the iPhone wasn't to succeed, the smartphones would take an entirely different form and would function differently that we know them to be now.

maybe these smartphones wouldn't have core features like GPS, camera, NFC, big high quality screens, security (Touch ID, Face ID) etc. 

this would kill Uber, all banking, all social media. 

so in this analogy, if Farcaster doesn't take off, then it could mean that all decentralised social will not take off, so would all FC (or other protocols) ecosystem apps.

or it could be that a different decentralised social will win, we all would have to adapt.
