Gotcha. Definitely an interesting take. I agree. I don't know of many projects which are exploring it at the moment.

maybe said another way decentralization may be dependent on cryptography existing at a given layer, but more layers than the layer where cryptography lives can be decentralized by the existence of cryptography at this important layer
