Moxie Release 1/2 today is now live. This one is medium size. Stay tuned for #2 -- that one's an earthquake. 2 Jan 2024 release 1/2: Moxie Scores were just updated based on feedback from users over the first 14 days the scoring now better values higher value actions such as being a moxie LP, holding fan tokens, holding locked fan tokens, having a verified X account with xx,xxx+ followers You can view the new scoring by clicking on "increase my score" on https://www.moxie.xyz/build-moxie-score and then hovering over items *** We do not anticipate changing the scoring now for a while, except for one related improvement in the coming days: a. there will be a minimum score for your friend before you get a boost to your own score for referring them (very soon, but not live yet) *** improvements to based rewards are being worked on separately -- stay tuned

it's 2025, and i still don’t get moxie. i see some accounts making huge gains, so i check their profiles to understand what they’re doing—but i still don’t get it.

Send me a DC? Happy to do a back and forth. TL;DR - Moxie is all about Fan Tokens - Fan Tokens are on a relatively gentle bonding curve. They can be bought/sold with Moxie and go up and down accordingly. - Fan Tokens appreciate in value every day via a buy and burn mechanism. The amount of buy/burn is determined by 1) Farcaster engagement and 2) Base network gas used x "Moxie Score". - Fan Tokens can also be used to provide exclusive benefits to holders, i.e. art airdrops, token-gated group chats, etc. There's more nuance, but I think this is the gist?
