Are kickstarter campaigns still the go to for board game launches? I’m curious if people still browse and gamble on projects or if they wait until they come out and are reviewed. 

I haven’t done a KS backing in about a year because of long lead times, failed launches, and the exclusives weren’t worth it.

Kickstarter very good for niche games with a limited appeal to actually get made. I've ordered a few 18xx titles from it over the last few years.

But yeah I've eased off generally, my wallet/shelf-of-shame can't keep up with the FOMO.
