Of all the adventures I've had, swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines is very near the top of the list. 

If this is on your bucket list, pls be mindful of ethical encounters. I highly advise against tours where they're chumming the water, and give them their space. They're friendly, curious creatures if you encounter them in the wild. Find a reputable guide who values protection and conservation.
