Bitwise named three conditions for Bitcoin to rise to $80,000 in 2024: 1. Republican candidate Donald Trump wins the US presidential election in November, or the Democrats soften their cryptocurrency policy if their representative Kamala Harris wins. 2. The US Federal Reserve (Fed) cuts its key rate by 50 basis points by the end of the year, as well as additional financial stimulus for the Chinese economy. 3. No major negative surprises in the crypto industry. According to Hougan, the last thing needed for Bitcoin to reach $80,000 is a period without shocks, such as hacks or high-profile lawsuits.
