The court dismissed part of the SEC's charges against Binance and Changpeng Zhao

A judge has dismissed part of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) lawsuit against cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its founder Changpeng Zhao.

In particular, the court granted Binance and Zhao's request to dismiss charges related to secondary sales of BNB and the Simple Earn service.

The SEC's case regarding the ICO, subsequent sales of BNB, BNB Vault, staking services, failure to register and non-compliance with anti-fraud regulations will continue.

The same goes for Binance US.

The judge set a hearing for July 9.
