what are the benefits of this approach? it looks like a bunch of boilerplate for the same outcome as a usestate - is there something about the proxy pattern that is preferable, genuine Q

not building v1 personally, but the main use case for them imo is that they feel more isolated, you never leave the feed. it works great for simple frames that need 2-3 actions at most compared to a v2 frame which opens in a new modal, often greeted by another modal immediately prompting you to add to apps etc

itā€™s similar to what happened to dalle & co imo, as they expanded they became more generic and harder get useful results from not to say these tools are no longer useful, i just think the approach to using them shifts over time

true - people just get used to their toys and itā€™s hard to pry them away. sometimes the ecosystem is just lacking though, im a big fan of svelte but react is still my default for web3 as nothing comes close to wagmi hooks from a dx perspective

this could be a useful read, some older approaches with state/effects are obsolete these days https://react.dev/learn/you-might-not-need-an-effect

i imagine itā€™s the ecosystem people are choosing, not necessarily the framework itself

an argument could be made not to pre optimize, youā€™re unlikely to hit these issues straight out the gate. in this space the move fast and break stuff approach is better imo

call me old fashioned but i like having to confirm when sending payments, i would find it hard firing off a request into the void and hoping my assets end up where i wanted them - at least for anything of value
