The only downside of how popular tipping has gotten is that every post feels like panhandling now. Just constantly people in the replies asking for a tip for doing absolutely nothing 😂

It's wild the amount of people with their hand out who bring nothing of value. I know it will subside after DEGEN seasons. Hopefully the good things that have come from tipping will stay though. Will be interesting to see regardless!

To be clear I think tipping is extremely positive and I'm actually very optimistic that it keeps going after the initially scoped seasons!

Agreed. The concept that each of us has something to give to others, and that we can’t just keep it for ourselves, is a net/net positive. How to minimize the gaming of that system will be important, but the overall benefits of the system are real.

It seems like most people are doing a good job of minimizing bad actors by just being aware they're out there. If you look at the network as a whole there's a ton of gaming going on, but in the circles I frequent it's substantially less. I'm sure that's the case for many.

Yeah, that’s what I see as well. How heavy of a hand it requires remains to be seen as it scales, but the fact that we are even talking about it is a positive. Not everyone who partakes has bad intentions. Some of it is just them not realizing the impact.
