Most of my casts are replies. Which apparently means nobody sees most of my casts.

And it dramatically reduces the quality of conversations. I think it's a major L for a smaller, up and coming social network like this one. Everyone here feels very "distant".

I (inadvertently) game the system by  occasionally writing the "best" reply, usually by being funny or helpful.

After a certain threshold, I *think* 3-5 likes, the top reply surfaces on the home feed and thus pairs with the original cast.

There's a first mover advantage too.
