I Took a Photo!

ITAP of the Bridge Fire in the Angeles National Forest behind the LA skyline.

3 major fires in the local hills, all at very low containment. 

It's sad that many of these are human induced with an arrest made for allegedly starting the Line Fire which is up to 25k acres and 15% contained.

Sometimes massive audience takes a banger to another level. @bay-photography casted this unreal, epic, and amazingly deep photo to Twitter and it has blown up. Congrats on the capture Brandon. 👏

Thanks man. It’s interesting to see the platform dynamics. I also posted this to IG last night and it has a good amount of impressions as well but nothing compared to X. Then you look at FC data and it’s very very low

That is why so many stay on X I suspect! When the spotlight shines, it shines bright. Congrats! Well deserved. That shot is an award winner for sure.

Thanks again. I feel like the virality of an image has a higher chance on the main platforms. More users? Different algo? Who knows but I’m glad I documented this. I’m working on a timelapse now maybe I’ll post in ITAV but as of right now it’s over a gig I’ll need to compress it

Agree but IMO I’ve never seen a “photograph” go viral here only tech stuff amongst other things. How can we change that?

Def more users. Your post on X will likely get more viewers than FC users in the end!

But the algo matters too. The most viral stuff on X seems to linger way longer than on FC. There must be a way for bangers to beat the decay function!
