I think there cool but I struggle to see why I would upgrade to this over a Nano X. At the end of the day I just want to sign tx’s securely and move on. 

So far have you found it easier / better ?

Fair point. Flashy does not equal to safer. 

As you said, sign tx safely and move on. Bigger, flashier device is not "better" than sth that looks like a regular $10 USB device.

To clarify, there's no new security feature added directly that older models don’t have (though the passphrase comes to mind). However, I believe the improved UX enhances security by making it easier to review transactions and other details. The product also feels more robust compared to my Nano, which had cracked plastic in less than a year. 
So in a way yes, it seems a safer product. Is it worth 4x the price of a nano? Probably not. It's a fancy upgrade but at the same time a very nice one.

Saw it right now. All great points. That said, the "bareness" of the older devices is more in line with the "security" line.

Yeah, the progress is good, and I'm glad you like it. But the main purpose of the ledger is security. If you feel the security level is the same while having the advantages of the "tech progress", then that is great.
