Same, man! Absolutely loved BJJ. The mental aspect while doing something physical. My knee is ruined from football tho

Had a few Injuries.  An old meniscus tear and then tore my acl. Not fully but I wasn't diagnosed properly and kept training on it. It's just gradually got less and less stable. Now it just swells up whenever I overdo anything.  Rolling puts it into too many awkward positions

Wrestling a great background to BJJ. Toughest guys I ever had in sparring had Wrestling background.  Just a very good understandings of control. Translates well to bjj

What happened to your knee? I agree about the mental and physical part

I wrestled throughout high school so finding this helped me bring that mentality to BJJ
