I'm having trouble figuring out the connection. Are you saying that people are being turned off of crypto due to only hearing about scams, which gives them a selectively negative insight and risks them missing out on the long-term benefits because a perception of crypto only being for rug pulls? And that that's like nuclear power, where a single incident made us miss out on long-term benefits of nuclear power?

yes, a large enough negative public perception and narrative can stymy tech adoption despite the tech's massive demonstrable benefits

It's a great analogy. The US had a knee-jerk reaction to Nuclear and it became a scary word due to the events of Three Mile Island. There have only been 3 new reactors put into the US power grid since 1979 (1 was in progress before 1979) and this is compared to China which has put 55 nuclear reactors into their power grid since 1979. We are SO BEHIND!

People have the same type of reaction to crypto...if there are headlines in the paper of scams, rip off's, etc it has the same effect where people will avoid it like radiation...just 1 story someone reads about FTX or home breakin's of cryto holders to get their crypto will turn someone off for years if not longer. $TUAH coin could turn off a huge number of ppl as they see scam/celebrity/crypto... @ted
