The Merge is another work of art created by an anonymous digital artist named Pak. The work was sold on December 6, 2021, for $91.8 million on the decentralized NFT Nifty Gateway marketplace. Of course, this piece was divided into 312,686 pieces and distributed among 28,983 buyers. These parts can be stored and sold on the secondary market. By the end of the last piece on the market, a total of $91.8 million had been spent on the artwork, making it the most expensive NFT sold to date.
