The evolution of tree has ironically become super sad.  But you're incredibly right.  They looked like someone took 5 feet off a 50 foot tree and put it in their living room.  

I guess I never really thought/considered the tangible impact dense tree farming has caused on our christmas trees.

trees need to be allowed to grow horizontally again
