The 1979 Land Rover Series III - This remained in production until 1983. One of the major reasons for such a short production span: Land Rover was losing their market share to the Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser. Still an amazing series for Land Rover. Spotted this in the West Village, NYC /new-york

The Land Cruiser prototype is just great. It will always stand as the strongest off-road SUV, and one of the reasons Red cross and UN use this work of art for their missions.
