Anyone listen to the new Freddie Gibbs album? Thoughts? the first few songs so far have been super solid

No but I will give it more time.  i started listening to Freddie back in his ESGN days - hard as fuck.

I used to be a big Freddie fan in his early days, but didn’t even know he had a new album

Same flow kinda got monotonous for me

Im a huge Freddie fan. I only listened to the first handful of songs and really liked it.  my favorite thing about Freddie's work is his collaboration with absolutely goated producers: Alchemist & Madlib - thier soft melodic beats with his thuggish delivery is such an awesome combo.  I feel like you either LOVE Freddie Gibbs, or just think its alright.

I tried listening to it, but I couldn’t make it more than halfway through. Im not sure what it was, but it felt kind of boring to me. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for his style or what he raps about, so I’ll give it another go, but I doubt my opinion will change much. What did you think?

I will say it has the WORST album art of anything hes put out lol.  and I agree. I have his last 3 releases with madlib and alchemist on vinyl

didn’t even know, going to add it to my list & give it a listen this week. Enjoyed his last few albums but they’ve been hard to match his & madlib’s Bandana
