what Im getting on coins so far is that base team is all in

crypto OGs are skeptical and provide  good reasoning to not tokenize everything by default

personally I think the same:

i’ve been trying to be really honest with myself about my objection to coins.

there’s nothing wrong with using coins for speculation or even internet gambling. that’s not it.

but when “tokenize everything” optimizes for speculation, liquidity and market formation, the result is

everyone out here or on zora can create unlimited coins

at the same time each individual can buy limited number of them and
 amount as they’re real money

so there’s a clear misbalance here, pump got graduation mechanism for a reason

what if self ownership was the default and speculation was secondary? more similar to irl

art, photos, posts, etc would start as 1/1 and mint directly into your own wallet

from there, if someone wanted to accept a bid on it they'd still be able to, or they could auction it at a later date, or keep the 1/1 and do a more abundant mint down the road that everyone could collect

feels like more flexibility long term:
1. accept bids passively
2. auction later
3. keep it forever
4. release an edition or coin it later on

also the ppl who care that companies owns all their data/photos might use this more bc it’s about ownership instead of “make money”, potentially opens a new market who isn’t comfortable w financializing everything (yet)

idk just throwing some thoughts out there as someone fairly new to putting things onchain
