I keep thinking this

limiting ai progress is like limiting physics, example being discovering nuclear bombs - you couldn't have prevented it's discovery and if you could, someone else would have done it anyway

we see the same in ai today, EU now regulated ai reducing access to the latest models for everyone living/being in EU

while everyone else in the world can freely use them and do/perform better than any EU person as a result

real scary to think about those people pushing these things forward on all of us europoors

how can an educated person come together and make this regulatory decision lol

europe right now is as bad as it’s ever been, with no light expected any time soon, only darker

super disappointing 

but makes me looking into network states and such with much more enthusiasm
