The level of frustration you experience when trying to accept and adapt to a new UI positively correlates with how big of a role the product plays in your life (not just the frequency of use). It doesn’t matter that much if the new UI is objectively better – you’ll suffer during the first few days (weeks?) regardless, and I actually think it’s beautiful.

to me it feels like upgrading to a new phone, you kind of suffer but I find it exciting and feel better using a more polished product
