in this case protocol fee is a cost yes totally agree and was discussed for a while here

in crypto, just about every protocol seems to have a fee and won't let you do anything for free unless it's sponsored

I do. Paid every Zora fee ever. Paid for the Ethereum film "free" mint, and no it's not just paying gas.

I am all for saying it's going to cost 2$ but 2$ aint free
