you can't delete a subscription, so a combination of hidden and paused will effectively archive it

also some creators may want their work kept private or reserved for a select group of subscribers

makes sense and browsing hypersub's homepage recently I've seen a lot of dead/unavailable subs

maybe hide automatically if 0 activity or updates done to it in 3 months

discoverable hypersubs are manually curated - what you are seeing may be hypersubs that have not taken off yet.
