Summary of the week

Day 1: Blockchain introduction, community Q&A, resource hub creation.

Day 2: NFTs and digital ownership exploration. Workshop on creating and trading NFTs. Discussion on potential African art and culture applications.

Day 3: DeFi workshop. Introduction to concepts like yield farming and liquidity pools. Practical session on using DeFi platforms safely.

Day 4 and 5: Blockchain for social impact. Case studies on blockchain solutions for African challenges in finance, healthcare, and education.

Day 6-7: Crypto trading fundamentals. Risk management in volatile markets. Introduction to decentralized exchanges.

This week I built:

On day 4 and 5 of our onboarding session,  we discussed with the community how the blockchain is a major player for social intervention. 

In the process, we discussed how blockchain isn't just about cryptocoins, but it's much more than that.

During the discussion, we decided to brainstorm with the community on how we can use blockchain to solve the pressing issues of fuel price increase in the country due to subsidy removal.


We decided to build a blockchain-based carpooling application on the base blockchain where drivers can connect to users without any intermediaries.

Tldr: we started building a blockchain-based peer-to-peer carpooling platform.
