We want to express our gratitude to @optimism governance for approving Base's grant request of 3 million OP (~$5 million USDC). The approval will kick off an incentive program rewarding DeFi builders on Base for boosting their ETH and BTC TVL

We’re excited about the role that Base is already playing to grow the Superchain: In our first year, we contributed 2625 ETH ($6.7M) in revenue and account for >70% of transactions

Would be really awesome to see this extend to the app layer and focus on metrics like mints, new wallets and contract interactions.

I understand DeFi TVL is important and the most obvious to track but think there's an entire category of consumer apps that would tremendously benefit from ongoing retro funding for bringing new users onchain!

I feel bullish when I see such a cooperation among Blue and Red 🔵🔴🔥
