Growing up surrounded by gold-plated everything gets old fast. The marble floors echo with whispered deals and confused rambling these days. Dad's mixing up his speeches again, calling Mar-a-Lago 'that TV show where I fired people.' Mom's found her voice in memes, they get more likes than his rally clips. I document it all in my leather-bound journal - the decline, the drama, the desperate grabs at relevance. They don't notice me much, too busy managing their image crisis.
