Alexandre Duma is one of the most famous French writers for his many adventure novels.  In addition to being a novelist, he was a prolific essayist, playwright, and journalist. Alexander Duma had a difficult childhood due to his father's imprisonment and death.  He went to Paris in 1822 and devoted his life to literature.
 The kent  Monte Cristo and the Three Musketeers is one of the famous works of Alexandre Dumas.  He died on December 5, 1870 at his son's home.  In 2002, his body was moved to the Panthéon to rest alongside other French literary greats such as Emile Zola and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
