♥♥♥ It is painting and in some of them I also added textures that I scanned, and they are based on photos -that I made specially for this.

I really love to do multiple things and although it is for long periods that I devote myself obsessively and deeply to one particular form or technique or tool, they end up blending together and I think that's what fascinates me the most 🥰 I'm in a beautiful stage of obsession with photography, how wonderful! Is there anything, artistically speaking, that you would like to experiment or try?

I find this way of working super inspiring! And I love seeing how you make them all blend somehow 🫶🏼 I think since my experience this looks at year, I’ve had a renewed interest in trying everything! At the moment I’m dreaming of etchings and cyanotype, but also just trying out what comes my way… it really makes me miss having access to a traditional art education, because learning everything from scratch feels daunting sometimes… but I’ll try to reach for it all 🫠♥️

That's something we should never lose: the interest in trying everything and the enthusiasm for the process. I not only didn't have a traditional art education, I didn't have one at all, and I think the freedom I have is because of it. Everything has to be learned from scratch, either in a school or at home, there are no shortcuts and that is the most enriching thing I think because it is a path full of obstacles and constant learning. I find that wonderful! I am sure you will achieve many things because the only thing you need is the intention and the will, after that it is pure magic. Etching is a unique thing! There is so much to learn and do, how nice! ♥ Wishing you the best to achieve and discover many things, Maria! ♥

Thank you for sharing this Barbara, I would never have guessed you did not go through art school! 🖤 I do think you’re right though - not having that education definitely allows more freedom of thought and expectations (I think?). I’m looking forward to taking a deeper step into exploration this year 🔥 I guess there’s nothing like scary experiences to make you hungry for life 🫠 Big hugs
