Dan I think you're asking for too much here. You don't need to know my private information to confirm that I own a GH account. Same for Discord afaik.

Can't you use (no scope) for GH? iirc you still get user info, but only public.

And as for discord, there's an "identify" scope that seems reasonable enough. And that doesn't include the guilds by default.

We are using the lowest levels of scopes and we don't even get your private emails back. With that being said — understand you may not feel comfortable sharing it. It's opt-in.
